Manhasset Bay Beach Front Clean-Up

IMG_0715.jpeg

Calling Volunteers of all ages! One of the prettiest stretches of Manhasset Bay Beach across from SMLI where Leeds Pond meets the Bay needs our TLC!  Come join the Transition Town Port Washington crew as we clean-up the shoreline for recreation and restore wildlife habitats. See the ospreys soaring above. We will meet at the Science Museum of LI visitor’s parking lot, 1526 N. Plandome Road. We will check-in, get instructions and then off we will go as a group. Teens can earn volunteer hours. Please wear protective clothing, sunscreen, glasses and work gloves. Bring large paper or reusable bags or receptacles to collect trash (we’re trying to avoid using plastic bags to collect plastic). Bring trash grabbers if you have them for those hard to reach places. Let’s Break Free of Plastic. Starting now - together!
