Poetry, Performance and Visual Art at Dodge Farm on June 19th, from 10:30am to 12:00 pm
58 Harbor Road, Port Washington, NY 11050
The Artivists of ReWild Long Island invite you to read a poem, sing a song, share visual art celebrating the joys of the natural world. Extol the virtues of native species, do the dandelion dance, sing of a Long Island with no more lawns. Contact Sonia at sonia@meow.name if you want to participate.
ReWild Long Island promotes sustainable landscaping. We provide education and tools for residents of our communities to replace sterile conventional monocultures with wildlife-friendly vibrant natives and organic gardens.
Artivism is a hybrid form of art and activism which has a semantic mechanism to use art as a means towards change and social transformation.
This event, Native and Invasive Species, is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council.
